This year's 58th General Assembly took place this week in Madrid and was full of interesting information and news regarding the management of the association.
As part of the conference program, members shared with each other information about the news of their operation over the past year, as well as their plans for the future. We heard a lot of interesting information and had many interesting discussions.
For the first time, the program included a panel discussion on the topic of zero plastic waste and sustainability on board trains. There is a big challenge ahead of us that we will have to deal with. The discussion was moderated by Roger Williams, RVM and attended by colleagues Daniela CorbozWalpurga ZechnerFernanda VeigaBenoit Vignon and Philip Schaaf from Deutsche BahnElvetino AGDonhauser GmbHNewrest and Kaelis
As usual, there was a competition for the Most Innovative Caterer. Five companies participated in this year's event and some inspirational projects were reviewed, but there could only be one winner and the MIC award for the most innovative project in 2023 was won by Elvetino AG with the trophy awarded to Daniela Corboz CEO of Elvetino at the IRCG dinner - congratulations on the win!!
Serveo become a new member of the IRCG - welcome Sebastián Carro!
Last but not least, the point of the conference was the changes in the leadership of the IRCG. Chairman Roger Williams, RVM retires after 13 years of leadership and becomes an honorary member of the association. President Petr Pospíšil’s four-year mandate expired and he was elected as the new Chairman of the IRCG. Christian Hoelbl, MSc was elected as the new president at this year's General Assembly. A big thank you to Roger Williams for everything he has done for the association and helping us all move forward - thank you for everything Roger! We wish Christian and Petr much success in their new roles!
