From 30 November 2022 until 4 January 2023 rail passengers travelling aboard London North Eastern Railway (LNER) services in the United Kingdom will be able to choose from a special festive menu.
The complimentary seasonal menu for passengers in First includes chicken and stuffing sandwiches, hog roast sausage rolls and stollen muffins. The choice of drinks will include cranberry juice plus apple and cinnamon tea. Passengers who prefer to sip an alcoholic beverage can select Baileys Irish Cream and Masons Gin, which is distilled in North Yorkshire.
The Let’s Eat at Your Seat service in Standard means that items ordered from the café bar will be delivered to where passengers are sitting. Menu choices include special seasonal sandwiches, Lottie Shaws mince pies, Meatless Farm vegan sausage rolls and Cadbury’s Snowballs. Negroni Spritz counts among the choice of drinks.
LNER operates a fleet of Azuma trains. The company’s cross-border services between England and Scotland calling at a total of 50 stations.
The 2022 festive period will be the first since 2019 without travel restrictions. Trains are expected to be a popular mode of transport between destinations in the United Kingdom.
